Matt Crowley is a staff writer at The Onion. He has also contributed writing to The A.V. Club, Splitsider, McSweeney's Internet Tendency, CollegeHumor, The Daily Dot, The Hairpin, The Billfold, Trop, HyperVocal, Fanzine, neutrons protons, and the parody magazines Paul Ryan and The Neu Jorker. His ten-minute play "Zarps!" was a part of Legitimate Goddamn Theater at UCB in 2016, and his short comedies for the stage have been produced over 50 times in 12 states. His full-length play "Dear Deirdre" premiered at Dixon Place and was produced by Calliope Theatre Company at The Drilling Company (NYC) in 2014. 

Matt has performed in several Good Cop Great Cop sketch videos, including "Roommate" which was featured on Funny Or Die's homepage. He also starred in the 6-episode web series "Threesome" for MeUndies.com. Onstage, he's acted in "Eye Made Quiet," "Six Windows Presents: A Hero Of Our Time" (Calliope), "Steve Bartman's Quixotic Ideal," "Independence" (Hearth Gods), and "Loveplay" (Cloud City). He led a comedy writing workshop at the University of Virginia in 2017. 

Matt has been an associate producer for TinyRhino LA, and an artistic associate with Calliope Theatre Company. He is a graduate of UCB's core improv and sketch programs and a former member of the indie improv team Chalk. He lives in Chicago.
